Music that still deserves to be called true Progressive Trance, featuring sea-deep atmospheres and heaps of psychedelic stimulants but still being tidied up, laid back in terms of speed and kind of “grown up” in its character. Grown up not without reason: The sound of Symphonix refers tothe producer’s large background in the Progressive Trance scene which reaches back to the origin of this style in the late nineties. Starting with DJing under the moniker Montagu & Golkonda and promoting their first Tshitraka parties back then, brothers Stephan und Sirko Wötanowski rapidly became an essential ingredient of the young and blooming Progressive Trance scene. *TRUE LIES (DJ SET)(GER)** The musical style of True Lies obtains influences from various electronic music genres and synthesizes something outstanding and unique from it. Reduced sounds, forcing rhythms and crystal clear productions aim the body of the dancers and deliver up-to-date club music. On the other hand there still is psychedelic potential in this sound, the Trance background is audible subtle but very distinct. Quotations from Trance, House and Electro are conflated to a very special kind of hybrid style, taking up the recent developments of electronic dance music. No doubt, the long-year experience as DJs and producers as well as the absolute music addiction of the two dudes behind this project made something pretty outstanding. * DJ Sketi (Nexus Media/BLA (South Africa/Canada)** Since moving to Canada in 2003, Sketi has establsihed himself as one of North America's top psychedelic trance DJ's. As a core member of Blacklight Activists, he has played alongside some of the top artisits in the international scene. His tight mixing, impeccable track selection and powerful stage presence have taken him across the globe and allowed him to play at some of the biggest festivals both here in North America as well as abroad.
