This is one of those CD´s I’ll always keep good memories of it. I danced so many times to the music in it, and even had the chance to play some of the tracks a few times for friends in the middle of the woods. Psycho Cell is a classic compilation, it delivers music that cannot be forgotten, or at least it shouldn’t be.
But let us listen to the psycho cells from here:
The first track is Shinjitzu (T1) from Regev Asaria, which is the same thing as to say Azax Syndrom. I suppose this is one of those tracks that are easily recognized everywhere because of the guitar part and the well known spoken samples of Lucy Liu, from the movie Kill Bill, directed by Quentin Tarantino, that also featured Uma Thurman. This tune begins in a very soft way, nothing very rushed, and with each thing coming at its own time. It build’s up in a wonderful way till the part were the samples from Lucy Liu appear, the famous samples: “Now if any of you sons of bitches got anything else to say, now is the fucking time”. From here on, the tune keeps on smashing some more ears, till we reach the apotheosis part of the guitars, where all the fury of the track is liberated. Favourite.
Next we are transported into Kindzadza territories with Na Ostrov (T2). This track is one of my all time favourite’s tracks from Leo. The rhythm and grooveness presented in this track are fantastic, always keeping a nice attitude throughout the track. This tune also presents us the old ripping acid lines from KDD project, always present, always making your head go around in spirals. Of course the whole of the track is what creates music from another dimension; all the tricks on the little sounds, clever breaks, insane rolling drums and changing of bass lines makes this music special to me. Favourite.
Seroxat, an artist that was present in the previous compilation – Acid Mutants – appears again, and this time he brings Tohoo Vavohoo (T3). The leads from this tune are from very good taste, and are well combined with some ups and downs on the surroundings sounds. Particularly I like the received “energy” after certain brakes, because when the tune “enters” it really makes me want to dance.
Now we enter the domains of Hungarian music with Parahalu boys that produced 60569: The End Of Time (T4). One thing we realize is that this track is rich in hypnotic elements, making it ideal for listening at night and surf on the darkness of the night, when things get to confuse and trippy. It is a tune for exploration of the inner self.
Kemic-Al, is the project of Aldo Lombardi, a producer from Malta Island, delivers Abusing The system (T5). This one turned out to be a very minimalist track with a kick and bass somehow dry. Like the previous track this are domains of hypnotic sounds. This is the track of the compilation I enjoyed less, not because of the leads, but because the combo kick and bass are not my cup of tea.
Coming Soon (T6), is another tune by Kindzadza, and once again we are presented with delicious out of this world sounds. It starts on a very calm mood, and slowly it goes up till it reaches a climax. Expect the old acid lines of Leo making your brain go nuts and crave for more. This is another classic, from the classics I hold together in my heart. There are some sounds in here I never forget them, and have the particularity I have never heard them on other tracks – this one is unique! Favourite.
Now we reach my favourite track of the whole compilation: Brain Waves with Black Cat – is this a dedicatory tune to Olga Black Cat? - This is the longest tune of this CD, and it is 10 minutes of pure pleasure. It begins with some samples from Keanu Reeves, from the movie Matrix. The mood of this track is deep and intense; it is a hard rollercoaster trip from the beginning of the tune, till the end of it. Expect some major brakes, and the sound going down unexpectedly, making it a big surprise. The psychedelic sounds are electrifying, and stimulating. This tune passes through major changes, packed with lots of sounds. This is the kind of sounds that defy our sanity. The favourite track of the compilation.
The End Of The World (T8), is another track from Seroxat presented on the compilation. Along with Kindzadza, Seroxat delivers two tracks on this CD. This one runs on the mood of its sister Tahoo Vavohoo, but maybe a little bit more melodical and somehow less powerful.
And so we reach the end of our CD with Psychotic Micro, artists these that also participated in the Acid Mutants CD. Micky and Koby bring Via Del Dolor which means “way of pain” in English. It is a smooth and calm track, and it doesn’t become too insane, it is one way or another, a contained track, not too explosive. It is a nice way to end this voyage; decompressing from the countless sounds we were exposed.
The mastering of this compilation was made by Xenomorph.
The artwork, I believe it was made by SkyLab.Com. It is a great sight for the eyes the artwork of the CD. It is great stuff, well conceived, cell structures with DNA chains and I like very much of the detail of the white spider, almost seeming reflected on black light on the cover of the CD.

Recomendation:  I just want to say that this third release of Discovalley Records is fantastic. It is composed with lots of great music’s and musicians. It became, to me, a classical CD because I have heard them countless hours and some of these tracks were revolutionary back in 2004 and almost 4 years have passed since it was unleashed into the dance floors, the music is still great to hear!

Favorite tracks:1, 2, 6, 7(!).
