Analog Pussy are a Goa/Psy trance duo. Giga- born 1975/girl and Jinno- born1966/boy. They share everything in life- love, life and creation. They produce trance music together since 1995 and started the Analog Pussy project around the midst of 1997.
Jinno is one of the first trance artists in Israel. He started at the age of 16 ... with electronic music (because of a physical need, he says). The first gear he worked with was: Korg MS10 synth, Roland JX3P synth, Boss DR110 rhythm box, Roland TR707 rhythm box + analog and digital guitar pedal effects + multi track recording with 2 regular tapes ... from tape to tape! He got into trance by testing and looking for something new. He released various stuff as Art Indust: In 1992 an album called Air, then 3 tracks on the famous Trance Mix series from BMI/Melodia- News of Trance (Trance Mix 1), Ethnic Trip, Od Va Od (Trance Mix 2) in 1993-1994. Then he met Jiga.
Jiga started at the age of 17 with punk music, playing a bass guitar in different trash bands. She got into trance because this music combines bass drum and bass line in the most energetic way possible. When she heard it for the first time, as a bass player she said to herself: "This is it!!! This is what I want to do for the rest of my life".
The duo's meeting was crucial to their direction in life, or as Jiga tells it: " I was telling this guy I know that my life is so hard 'cause I have no money to buy equipment, and he told me about his crazy friend who had some gear. So I called up his friend and told him: why don't we meet and do something together, that guy was Jinno. He sure had the gear and was great in bed so I decided to stay with him forever".
They started to make music together and released as Art Indust (Jinno) featuring Fatima um Sharif (Jiga) the classic A Beach Party in Gaza on Trance Side of the Moon (Kasbah). Then they released Middle East of Nothing on the very successful chill out compilation More Than A Chilling. After that followed the La Santa EP, the album Amatoria and some tracks on Stuff compilation (all on Kasbah). They did Subres, a commercial project made by order of Israeli songs- 'Dor Mezuyan', 'Nag'a Bashamaym', 'Sigal' and many many more, in a trance, house and jungle reproduction, most of them with Jiga's vocals. Some of them got to the top of the charts in Israel. They released two albums (Subres 1&2). Since that experience they vowed not to do any 'ordered' projects anymore. In 1995 they started to release stuff as Triponas. They released few tracks on compilations: Mangal on Stuff (Kasbah), Veg on Trance Side of the Moon 3 (Kasbah), ChiMai on Dream Planet (Hataklit), Summer House, Moonsphere on Hypnotic Movements (IC/DA Music), Cosmic Desert on Hypnotic Movements & Best of IC (IC/DA Music), Ancient Vibe on Ethnovibes (Shem), Triponas- Firebirds on Ethnovibes (Shem) & Chillum (Agitato). They also released a Single (Last House) and album (Disco Futura) in Hed Artzi and another album (Prophecy of Love) in IC/DA Music. As Jinno & Jiga they released Sealight in The World of Dream & Trance (Hypnotic/ZYX Music).
Since 1999 they work only as Analog Pussy. In the beginning of 2000 they moved to Germany, and are currently based there. They perform a lot around the world playing only live acts using a lot of instruments. They already released four albums: In August 1999 they released their first Analog Pussy album- Psycho Bitch from Hell (CD/2LP) in Balloonia. Later in that year they released MP3 Release 001, a full 80 minutes MP3 release of unreleased tracks & multimedia. In September 2001 they released their second album Underground on their own AP Records label, it also has a different 2LP version with two different tracks. In March 2002 they released Vinyl Trax, an album comprised of tracks previously released only on vinyls.
They also released quite a lot of 12"s: Audio Santo 12" (Hadshot Haheizar), Space Walk 12" (Hadshot Haheizar), Extended Memory 12" (Leviathan), Diskotek 12" (Hadshot Haheizar), Ball Banger 12" (AP records).
They also released on compilations the following: Journey To Reality on Trip To Cyberspace 2 (Clubware Records), Flow Control on Zep Tepi (Chaos Unlimited Records), Psycho Bitch & Galactic Intercore on The World of Goa Trance 2 (Hypnotic/ZYX Music), Space Janana on the Solipse Compilation (CTM/Sha Ka Ree Records), Audio Santo on Humus Conspiracy (BNE), Space Walk on Humus Conspiracy II (BNE), Shperma Pornomatic on Undercover & 6th Element- Open Air (Hadshot Haheizar), Extended Memory on Digital X-perience (Leviathan).
Jinno & Jiga are very much into exploring the cyber world of the Internet. The Internet, through Email, mailing lists, news groups, chat forums, ftp, RealAudio, MP3 and other applications has become their main tool of communication. The Analog Pussy site came to life at the same time that the whole project did and one can download the Analog Pussy tracks from their site just hours after they are done and a lot more than that. |
