Tul - Frequencies EP

 ( Tribal / Bionics ,  Apr. 2002 )

A. Nation Drops 140bpm B. Atomim War 144bpm

Tul is a promising Israeli artist that finally starts delivering some releases. This EP comes out on his own Tribal label in cooperation with Bionics. Prepare yourself to some weird music, totally psychedelic and like nothing you've heard before. I'll also note that it seems Tul is making hi-hats-less music, which bothers me a bit, I must say.

Nation Drops on the A side is best describable in one word- weird. A strong atmospheric assault on the nerve centers. Atomim War on the B side is a real psychedelic piece of music with a variety of totally liquid distorted sounds. A lot of things happen all the time and it all keeps changing and bending all around you. The only thing that bothers me is the lack of any hi hats through most of the track and the over dominance of the lows here. It is sure to cause madness at the dark moments of the party nonetheless.

Recomendation:  For the real psychedelic moments of the party.
