Growl!!!!!!

I like this comp a LOT!!

High points have gotta be tracks 1,2,4,6 and 8 with the highest point being analog pussy. YOW! this is how I like my psy trance hard, technoish but with a real melody and direction to it - this track just doesn't give up! However anyone thinking of buying the album just because of this track alone - I'm not really sure of how much it actually fits in with everything else on here. Most of the tracks seem to be much more minimal and techno in flavour than this (although i would hardly call the 4th track proper old school goa!) to coin a phrase which unfortunatly seems apt, more 'pumping' (ugh that word feels dirty in my mouth). Charasmatix track has got a NICE bass and weird swirly evilness as has Ninja & Bamboo Forest. Love the deedrah track track for its mellow vibes - in fact I often play this last of all in a futile attempt to calm down after the rest of the CD!!! Snug as a bug track is a brilliant way to get things moving - the whole track just keeps on gradually building and building in a very subtle logical way, and just when you are convinced that its just going to be a percussive/swirly piece the very faintest tendrils of melody come creeping in and its over. Contrary to the site review - the last track sucks - to much old school acid cheesyness for my liking but it certainly is original and maybe inspire someone to do better things in this format! This comp Kicks ass however and would recommend it to ANYONE, no matter what sort of trance they CLAIM to be into.
